From now until 30 August Cambridge University Press is offering free access to all articles published in its journals in 2009 and 2010, and you don’t even have to sign up for an account. That includes Historical Journal as well as lots of other titles in history and other disciplines. These are a few picks for English Civil War enthusiasts:

Free Access to SAGE Journals (again)

SAGE Publications are having another free trial month. Just go to this page and register and you can get free access to SAGE Journals until the end of April.

Also it’s nearly a year since my first article was published in War In History, so I’ll be able to publish a pre-print here soon.

Free access to SAGE journals

I’ve just got an e-mail from SAGE Publications advertising free trial access to their online journals. Thunderbird thought it might be a scam but I’ve checked their website and it seems to be genuine. Just go to this page and register, then you should get free access to all SAGE journals, including War In History, until 31st October. That means that my debut article is available for anyone who wants to read it but couldn’t get at it before.
