I didn't really get the idea of tags until I started using delicious, so my Zotero tags started out being too hierarchical. I've relied on collections more than tags but I think there's too much duplication between my collections. I'm thinking of improving my tags and then getting rid of most of the collections but it could take a lot of work to get it right.
