Hmm…what are the standards of “historicality” expected for the blog entries in the carnaval? Does it seek to include only serious history with copious references to source materials, or does it also accept articles written in a more relaxed tone and with fewer references to its sources? Or is the standard somewhere in between?

Relaxed stuff with no references is fine as long as it isn’t obviously wrong. The carnival is supposed to be as inclusive as possible.

Well, OK. I guess I ‘m going to submit a funny entry from a friend’s journal about the historical research she did to confirm or deny something in the planned plot for her novel, then.
